    One more IAB for opinions.

I have one more IAB about which I'd like to receive opinions and comments.

This was obtained from a WAF member (Medic789) in a trade/sale a while back, and I never posted it for review. There is no camera flash. These photos represent the appearance of this badge fairly well.

    Cheers,
    Bob.

I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.....

        Hi Bob......

.....Stewy is right on track. That is one IAB infrequently seen here-abouts. Nice, scarce badge, in great shape. You did well!

            Hi Bob

It appears to be a nice original. I have not seen one with the maker mark missing some of the lettering.

Do you have a clear pic of the eagles head and a side shot of the catch?

            congrats

You may be right Stewy. The ghosting on the lettering is definitely there, but I was looking at the bottom of the "L"..

                cheers

I think it's more to do with the finish, than a poor strike Graeme. Stewy

                    Hi Bob,

A very nice example!! I've missed out on several of these over the years; you've a nice real keeper there!!

I think Tom D bought the last example I saw as good, the bugger!!

The bottom part of the "L" is scarcely there...It can be seen with a loupe, but it is faint.....More pics follow.....

Very nice original! I agree with Stewy regarding the strike and finish...IMO the MM is ok just a poor strike leaving the base of the 'L' missing.
                        Cheers, Steve

                          Hi Bob

Thanks for posting the extra pics, a pretty mean looking eagle for sure.

The small area missing from the maker mark could have been the result of a clogged die?

IMO it does not detract from a nice looking badge.
                          regards
                          Graeme
