      I the infantry assault badge a specific color (bronze, silver?)

        As he was serving with an Infantry Regiment I think it will be the silver version.

          Just out of curiosity, pretty much anybody who received this was a "combat soldier...fighting" Is this correct?

            You only got it for fighting, ie, 3 successful assualts in which ground was captured on three different days.

                  How come the first and the second awards are "not in order of date." (the first one was given out on 29-8-41, but the second one was given out on 23-8-41???)
