Absolutely original from what I can see or at least what is generally thought at this time to be original. The ones with the grey backing like this one are favoured more than the ones with the feldgrau wool backing and same embroidery although I am of the belief that both versions are genuine.

Thanks for the input Patrick you've been a big help. There's so little info out there on these badges and so few true examples to use as a reference.
