              Hi aff96......

......Is it possible to pull out the bottom(black) part of the case. Like is done with EK1 case's, it might help to have a look.

Hi Bruce, I tried & was afraid of tearing it....I'll try again tomorrow.
                Thanks,

                  Thoughts?
                  Thanks,

In looking at the 2 examples in Tom's book, hard to tell...but looks like they did have a cut out

                          Hi,

This would be a reproduction case in my opinion, yes. And further to the point it does not prescribe in any detail to the original examples.

This is likely a Coburg fake, but not one of the more modern emulations, in fact the outer covering could actually be a pattern used on their earlier reproduction Blockade Breaker case - I'll have to check that out of curiosity.

I think Tom's book notes the dimensions of the original cases, and if I'm not mistaken they should all be around the same size give or take a millimetre or two.

As I've already stated the outer covering is reminiscent of at least one of the Coburg fakes - the ''quality'' in construction would also suggest it was perhaps made by them, too?

However, there is NO incuse border on the lid surface of the case either; the bottom part of the case is devoid of chamfered edge's; the catch has the addition of the surround on the push button. This could also be an apex catch, I can't see it properly.

The above traits for me are very important indications as to the originality of such cases and yours portrays none of the attributes I'd even begin to associate with an original....sorry!!
