TDB in Gold - Original or Not?

Is the gold backing on the reverse known to have been found on genuine badges? And, These are the only pics I have of this one. I'll see if I can reconfigure the photo to show a close-up of the parts you mentioned above.

just to give you some additional info on your badge, yes this gold or yellow wool backing was often used on this gold type tdb. (never on the black tdb)
I have more pictures of this but also black, grey and green. even brown wool backing was used on gold tdb.
