    EWE PAB for discussion

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=397838

I don't see alot of hand-finishing on this one. Anyone care to comment?

Don, I agree that this badge is quite flat in terms of obverse details, but it doesn't look quite soft enough to be a cast fake. I have "the book" and I have handled a couple of these that are owned by Chris Garbis. That's the extent of my "expertise" in this area.

I doesn't have 'alot' of hand finishing. How much is enough? What is the minimum?

Here is my first macro showing evidence of file marks.

Again, more evidence of hand finishing along the edge.

Nice back side Jeff! LOL! If I were looking for a PAB I would have no problem with Calvins and price seems reasonable at that.

                      Hi guys,

I like what I see on Calvin's PAB. EWE's did have a lot of file marks, but not all of them were like that and I think there were one or two in Phil's book that don't show much file marks at all. I think this was up to the individual worker. The rest of the hardware and details look spot-on on the PAB in question IMO.

Some dimensions might help put some minds at ease, but I think they would only confirm this is an original EWE.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

I am with Tom, if we have dimensions and a weight we can put this one to bed

I own 2 EWE's so I think I can give my 2 cents. I have no issues with this EWE at all. I think it really isnt in all that great of conditions so that may put off a few others. As far as I am concered its a good one.

                          Regards,
                          Chris G.
