SS and/or rings is not my area, but I used to be an engineer and I know about casting metals.
This is a very poorly made example, far below the quality of an original issue item, which I do have some very good pics of (got a few ss books, just in case).
It could be field made, as thats where it looks like it was made, in a field!
To my eyes its an obvious and very poorly made reproduction.
