Juncker Flak or junker flak?

Hi Don,
Well, if this was unmarked, I would say it was a perfectly textbook, unmarked Juncker badge! Hardware is good, obverse details are all correct and the dimensions are perfect IMO. Even the mark on the pin near the hinge is textbook Juncker.
But, that maker mark is definately questionable. I think the fact that most late war zink badges made by Juncker are almost always found unmarked, we can strongly say that the mark on this badge is probably applied postwar. The double stamping supports that notion, although that is also something commonly found on original Juncker stamps too. That fact that some guy added a fake Juncker stamp to an otherwise perfectly textbook, unmarked wartime Juncker badge may be nothing more than coincidence.
I know you have been looking, so can you share another picture of a badge that shows this same type of maker mark?? Whether on an original or fake. I seem to remember that Bob Hritz had an original Juncker badge with a weird type of Juncker mark, but I didn't save it in my files like a dummy. Is this the same badge, or have you found a picture of it?

How can you be so sure Don?? This is always a great question, and based on my study of the CCCs, its VERY hard to tell such things. The CCCs almost ALWAYS had their backplate crimped in AFTER the finish was applied, yet almost all crimps have a completely intact finish inside the crimps.

Hi Don,
Apart from the makermark of which I also think it is not good, you have nice badge over there!
I just find it strange that who ever put the makermark on there, was not only right about the badge being Juncker, but also SW68!Kind regards,
Giel
