Hi Tom,i was saying in general about new comers, at least in my life,when you get transfered to new school,when you enter in army and many other times, besically when you enter new group of people that don't know you,you get often negative energy a specially when you know lees than others,not everybody as friendly as you 
About old collectors yes many of them have so much ego that they been around longer than you and more than half of them been collecting fakes and never took time to really study anything the BIG EGO IN THE WAY,ha - ha bad for them good for us but some a true masters of what they do.
This past MAX show,was clear to me that half was crooks and half was saying i dont need to read books i know everything,only few knew it allot on the level that you would expect from advanced and experienced collector.
