Hi guys, picked this up on garage sale for $30,i think this one is original.
What do you guys think ?

    Eddie,

You picked up a great bargin there, an original JFS badge for $30. Well done. The bending as you say was probably the badge being hand vaulted by its owner so it fitted better on the tunic.

    Regards,

    Mark

      Hello Eddie,

      Terrific garage sale find. Congratulations!

The badge is bent (vaulted) because it is supposed to be. It was made that way.

      Best regards,
      Tom

        Great Find Eddie...

JFS IAB's are known to be vaulted like this. IMO they did this so the badge would lay nicer when attached to the tunic.

It will snap if you try and bend it back...

        Best Regards, fischer

I tend to agree with Mark. Yes it should be bent (vaulted). It could be just the angle of pics but,the eagle has a bit of a beard & rifle sight looks a little weak. But with these vaulted badges,it's never quite the same camera angle. Stewy

Whatever profit you are willing to make would be a fair price I suppose. Take a look at the estand, or MD militaria or a host of other sites out there. I'm sure you could get some kind of picture as to price. Then adjust the average out, minus whatever percentage YOU think would be FAIR to re-sell collector-to-collector, and put it on the market. Or go for the big profit and try your luck on ebay.
