Hi guys, I ran into a bronze PAB today at my local coin shop. I is marked AS in the triangle. The problem is that the mark is not behind the swaz but lower towards the catch. The badge is the solid type. Advice please. Thanks.

Bill, did the badge also have a round wire catch? I bet it did - another sure sign of the AS triangle fake.

This example did have that catch. The catch itself was bent and pushed flat to add to the wear/used/old characteristics. The bronze plating was about 70% present. Frankly the badge looked good to the eye. Oh well. I intend on informing the coin dealer and aiming him to this site should he have doubts about what he sells. His reputation is at stake also after all is said.Comment
