At the risk of stirring things up, I still find the finish on the JFS numbered badges far superior to the Juncker pieces. I do not subscribe to the 'theory' that Juncker pieces are considerably more valuable and in greater demand. Most of the 100 TBB's I have been offered lately are Juncker's. As you can see by the postings, the most 'common' 75s and 100s in collections today are Junckers. The only 100 JFS I am aware of is the one pictured in Detlev's price guide which is in Pieter's collection.

Second point, we really need to put to rest this myth that Bronze TBBs are rarer than silver TBB's. The 1944 German Order of Battle clearly shows the ratio of Panzer Grenadier units and personnel to Panzer units/personnel of at least 10 to 1. This, by the way, is a very conservative ratio.

The numbers clearly do not support this myth which was originally created by a now infamous 'expert' in one of his early reference books.

If, as is stated, in the most recent reference book on the subject of TBB's, the rarity was based on the casualty figures of Panzer Grenadiers, it would make the Infantry Asslt badge the rarest badge of the German Army!
