Could you post a close up of the back of the eagle's head including the hinge area Alex..the hero makes a very convincing fake of this badge and I would like to compare your's just to make sure.

Your badge has the same die flaw in the eagle's right wing as the hero's fake Alex..check out this thread from a few days ago.

Imo this badge looks fine. The hero pieces has a different material structure...

Many of these Wurster PABs have this die flaw, even the original ones

                    Check out this thread:

                    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...tombak+massive

And because the fake is a casting, the fake ones have this flaw too

And as Nordmark said, the material, finish etc. is different also some fake details are missing on my badge

I've been scratching my head for a while on this one since I saw it this morning. I've tried playing both sides of the argument and in the end, I believe that your badge, Alex, is a good one IMO.

As Nordmark said, the material and finish on the back do not resemble that typical of fakes. Also, in terms of the die flaw, it is even on the one in Philippe's book, so we can't go solely on that. But the material and reverse finish look typical of originals.

Perhaps the scans don´t do the justice to the badge, here are cam pictures of the badge (as you can see the line in the middle is not the shadow of the pin, it´s a different color of the finish caused by the pin in over 60 years)

And last but not least, our PAB god Philippe said:
