No way to tell from those pics, and nothing against the seller. Having said that I do not like the catch, the original adams aple fake had a perfect circular cutout rather then the crescent shape on original. That shape was made by using a drill bit to make the cut out. This one looks like the same technique could have been used as it is not a nice clean crescent shape.

With GWL's that are in doubt the only way to be sure is to have it in hand and get a feel for the base metal. Even the measurments other then weight are pretty dead on with that fake. Often if you rub the badge the finish will come right off and expose a bright silver base material.

There's a lot made of the "adams apple" fake. As you know Kray a few disscussions on GCA & to me this looks mre like Jordi's which was deemed ok. But these are a tough call. Stewy

greg is right here, the only way to check these are when you are holding them in your own hands
there is a very good GWL fake on the market and maybe it is me, but I never would like to have one with the Adam's apple, but thats just my opinion.
I also don't get a good feeling when I look at the catch

Yours is a no worries straight on good one. That is the benefit of a worn zincer. The "advantage" of the Adams Apple fake is that it is always with a great finish hiding the tell tale modern base material.

That is why having it in hand is so essential whenever you question the originality. It feels lighter and often has a smooth feel to it. When you rub it you can often find the silver shiny modern alloy peeking right through.

I am not condeming the badge that started the thread, simply I would not buy it without inspecting in person. There are plenty of GWL's out there no need to rush for it or at least ask for an inspection/refund period. Do not ever underestimate the quality of the GWL fake.

I'll go one better Rhidian. I'll send it to you no payment, you make up your mind
                          Fair?
I know your good for it, and i am confident that this is an original badge, weights and measurements are correct (on my scales they are )

It came from a very good source in a trade,

But i could be wrong of course
