    Hi Don

I sold mine as well and also miss it True that the dotted cranium lines are not as pronounced as on yours. It could be the pics or productionrelated. As you know yourself these are late war cast badges and vary a bit in quality.

    Cheers Thomas

I think I would need this one in hand to be absolutely sure either way.

To be honest, it´s more of a gut feeling. As very often with me, and mostly that gut feeling shows to be right. I am NOT saying I know everything. I can be wrong, of course. But I don´t have the energy to try to explain my statement everytime. It´s not of disrespect or anything. It´s just me.
I can be wrong in this case of course. It can be the light. After all, it´s only pictures.
But still, despite all the posts after my last statement: I don´t like it.

Not to sound all knowing or anything but I'm really surprised that collectors that are by far my superiors can't differentiate between mere three obverse dies. The badge shown here is IMO 100% original and is the most detailed (cranium lines/dots) of them all.

Ludwig: Please sell me some copies like this

Don: In my files I have a matching badge I think belongs to you - or did? Se picture, again if you don't like the googles sell it to me

Last but not least I think this badge is the one pictured (not drawing) in "Deutschland in kampf", Bd. 105-108, jan/feb 1944, see the pic in Patzwalls book p.57 - focus on the jaw.

          Cheers Thomas
I´m afraid I don´t have any copies, Thomas! In fact I try to avoid them!

I have looked around a little and I have to revise my statement: IMO it´s an original badge. (Oh, that hurt! )
