This has a Marker Mark which looks like a G? Bad one? It was not stored properly has tarnished some.

      Hi Sal,

Looks like a good one, a "deformed leaf" variant as they are called. Maker is still unknown, but would very much like to see a closeup of the mark on yours. It may give us a clue to the maker, however it is most likely a post-war applied mark as these types of IABs aren't very uncommon and none have been found with such a mark that I am aware of.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Hi there,i'd like to see clearer pics really. As Tom says it's a "deformed leaf" style but from pics the reverse looks awfully pitted. Stewy

            Hello,

indeed a Deformed Leaf IAB like the guys says. That mark on the reverse of the rifle looks like a "G to me.

              Hi guys,

Yep, definately a G and we have seen this mark before. But for the life of me, I cannot find it. Seems like it was also on an IAB, but I cannot find it anywhere in my files. Hope this sparks someones memory and can remember where they stuck it and post it here to see if it is a match.

New photos. As I stated, this was not stored well at all, the sliver has some minor corrosion on it. What you see is mostly discolorment but the finish itself is pretty smooth. Thank you all for your time an help with this. That's a G stamped on the back. Any idea when this was produced? Is this a War time badge or not?

If my memory serves me right the previous "G" marked badges that has been discussed where LUFTWAFFE badges. I´ve been looking as well without finding any old threads about G.

                          8. It's not bronze, it's silver in color. It had a lot of oily greasy grime on it, I cleaned it up with warm soapy water and a tooth brush. It came out rather nice.

It looks like an Oval Crimp variant with the hardware possibly re-attached.

                              Best Regards, fischer
