          Hi Gary,

          You landed a very rare IAB there, its a hollow GWL. One of only 2 makers to cut out the swastika and only known in zink I believe. Hard to tell if yours is zink too, with a very heavy coating of silver plating. The hinge looks to be for a zink badge, but that catch is typical of tombak construction. Do you see any yellow base metal showing through anywhere, or is it grey underneath?

                        Hi,

                        Thanks to all for the comments and PMs. I knew it was hard to come by when I got it years ago. "Back then" there were no IAB books and an IAB was an IAB! (maker marks meant little to nothing with regards to pricing on these). I just picked up ones I thought were unusual.

                        Tom, I wil check to see material of badge later.
