        Hi Guys !
I got my "hollow" Assmann PAB in bronze today . Detail on PAB is great , better than on my feinzinc Assmann PAB in bronze .
I`m not any metall expert but I beleive my badge to be made by aluminum .
From side it looks like it`s coated with copper and then bronze finish . Compared with an tombak / feinzinc Assmann PAB this badge is about 2x thicker .
This is only my opinion . But remember I`m only a "incompetent" PAB collector . I only have 60 PAB`s .

PS ! Pics of this badge will come later .

                      Hi Jan,

                      It's very nice badge!
How much weight is your badge? and how thick ?
I have a silver PAB with 11.5gm only and about 2.5mm thick.
But I believe mine is not aluminum because it shows copper
color on top of worn area.
I quite agreed with Lorenzo's idea that it should be much lighter if
                      it's Aluminum made.

                      best Regards,
                      Sihong

                                Dear Sihong,

Good to see you post again!
The copper could be a sign of a cupal badge, copper coating over an aluminum core. That would also explain the light weight, with the badge still being "heavier" than if it was pure Aluminum.

                                Great badge, btw.

                                Cheers, Frank
                                Cheers, Frank
