Unmarked Funcke (F&BL) IAB Mystery

Hi Guys

My unmarked examples do not have the "die flaw" on the acorn that the badge that started this thread exhibits.

Zach's additional pics show a highly pitted badge that I have not seen before.

In Zach's close up of the stock there is a lack of detail in the hole that mimics the stock disc ( this helps to reassemble the bolt on a real k98).

The weight at 36 g is not far off but a bit on the lite side.

Here are my two unmarked examples to compare.

The first weigh's 39.80 g.

First one sure looks thick.

Thanks for the further contribution. I still don't know what to think? Anyone with an unmarked L/56, that has the die flaw, care to offer weights and measurements?

The thickness (of my unmarked L/56) actually seems less in some places than my marked Funcke? Sorry my picture skills aren't the best.
