2 New Additions to the Panzer Division

    Hi guys,

Here are two new arrivals to my growing Panzer Division. Both have excellent finish and I just love the hardware setups, so I couldn't resist. The bronze is a typical oval-crimp. Its finish is completely intact, but seems to have toned down to more of an olive-drab dark color rather than a bright bronze. I have seen this on S&L CCCs most often, but a few other makers as well.

The silver is a common vienna style obverse design, but with the pillow-type crimps. Just the fact that this unknown maker didn't apply the same silver finish to the hinge, pin and catch makes this one stand out from the other vienna based makers and speaks to a higher quality. Same goes with the high quality silver wash, which is 100% intact on the obverse. It looks a little darker due to the glare. Another noteworthy aspect to this maker is the tiger-stripe banding of the silver finish on the reverse, common to their PABs but also their IABs and even Heeres flaks.

Hope you like them as much as I do.

    Tom

                Tom,
I have always loved the eagle on the oval crimp types. A very imposing TR type eagle. As for the pillow-crimp, another nice example. The type of badges that you have presented both hold their finish quite well. Congrats on two nice additions to your growing PAB collection.
