    fake GAB?

    Hello gentemen,

    My friend and WAF mate Gabenn asked me to upload these pictures of this GAB marked JFS. He was told this is a fake. I'm really not into badges, so I made a research and found lots of threads about this JFS GAB, saying it's a fake.

    But what about this site?

    Strangely, the JFS badge in Fig. A is the same like these and the pictures seem to be quite professional. Was the author fooled too?

      Indeed, the one you've posted is a well known fake.

      My inital post was in error as I did not notice the JFS badge on the link supplied. I only focused on the F&R example which is a good badge. My apologies. As for the line drawn JFS example, I wouldn't put to much faith in it. It's only a drawing.

        Weren't these at one time considered OK? I'm not a GAB guy nor do I have one of these. Is this 100% proven to be bad?

          Hi Dennis......

          ......to date these are FAKE. There is not, nor has there been, any evidence to suggest that these JFS GAB's were made during the 3rd reich. Quite simply they are to be considered fantasy pieces.

          Once upon a time they may have been considered original. In fact, some still believe them to be, but they are in error to think so.
