    Bronze CCC

Hey guys! I'm patiently looking for a nice (but probably not pristine!) CCC. I came across one but I confess I stuggle with badges and CCCs. One big reason is generally I can't tell how much finish is left VS the regular look of the metal that is used to create the piece!

I saw Tom's silver CCC on e-stand but I don't have 1,500 dollars to drop on one piece (although it certianly looked like it was worth every penny!) or else I would have snatched it up, haha (grats to the buyer though )

Anyhow here is one that I found. Again, I can't tell if the majority of the finish is still there OR if the zinc based metal just blends well and most of the finish is gone! Thanks for any opinions before hand!

          Hi Ryan,

An original F&BL CCC for sure. Hard to tell from these pics about the finish, but I would think that a majority of the finish is gone, most likely a bronze grade that has just faded away. Odd that the backplate doesn't have any of the blackening left on it either, must have been under some very bad storage conditions. Personally, I would spend a little bit more and wait for something nicer.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Sounds good Tom! Thanks for the info!

P.S. Obviously i'm a "rookie" to this stuff but does anyone else struggle with the finish as well? I mean to me with the CCCs especially, inless they are side by side, the silver finish and bronze looks so similiar. In a lot of the silver CCCs they don't look silver (in the sense for example of the frame of a minty EK...that looks SILVER to me lol) so I always am at a loss. Is this due to the metal's color kinda changing the silver finish? Thanks
