    I've always believed this to be a fake, but after scouring all the GAB threads I'm not so sure.

              What makes you think it is a fake?

              Looks like a perfectly good and original GAB by an unknown maker. Its #12, 1.29.2 variant in Frank's GAB book and looks to have the copper coating on the zink. A nice one with great finish IMO.

                I've owned this badge for many years but deemed it repro back then because I couldn't reference the exact hinge set up. I recently came across it again while unpacking some boxes and thought "this badge looks good - better take another look." Thanks for your replys.
