    Some Driver's Badges

I was lucky enough to acquire some very nice driver's badges this week to add to my small collection. None are maker marked, however I have now found 4 different attachment set ups. I am sure some of these set ups can be attributed to manufactures and plan to do more research.
    Cheers,
    Henry

Henry, you've had a good week, more nice badges The Gold is in very good condition!

It's good to see someone else who is interested in drivers badges - I think they are much maligned.

        Some set ups

Mike here are the set ups I have been working with. I know that badges were produced by R. Souval, E.W. Assmann and Alois Retter.

The problem that I have with identifying makers for the Drivers badges is that the configurations are not used on any other badges - that is the pins on the rear are not used on other badges (except the shields). There is the look/style of badges to work on, but this is also a bit of a hard one.

Somewhere in my collection I have a drivers badge and packet - they have a very long history together - I'll dig them out.

The most underrated TR award. Now, if they had figured out a way to put an eagle and/or swaz on there it would be a different story.

                Couldn't agree more.

There is a plus side to this - the price of Drivers badges has been kept reasonably sensible. They are a wonderful design, simplistic, crisp and representative.

I've been trying to find out about the makers for a couple of years, what I'd like to find is a manufactures catalog and/orsales board but the chances are slim as they were not as far as I know private purchase items.
