Id on two tank ass badges please!!!

    Hey Guys,

I`ve had these two badges in my collection for some time, but I`m not sure of the manufacturer?? I`d like to catalogue my pieces with no makers, so would greatly appreciate some info on these two

Am I correct in assuming that the silver badge on the right is the so called "Porsche badge"?

Any comments would be greatly appreciated!

As one can see, the bronze on the left has had the catch period fixed

      Both are indeed original.

The one on the left is a classic tombak Wurster, with a repaired catch and needle. The one on the right is indeed a sc porsche pab, but w recently figured out that the maker of these is Juncker. Yours is an earlier example with the tombak wire catch and the cut out hinge.

      Nice badges!
      Kind regards,
      Giel

If you are only going to have two these would be the ones to have. Nice badges.

Also interesting to add is that these two were probably the only ones produced in the beginning of the war. Wurster took care of the bronze grades, and Juncker for their part of the silver grades. This is also the reason why early silver Wursters are rare as hen's teeth, and early bronze Junckers (what ever material they are made of) non existing untill today.
          Kind regards,
          Giel

              Hey Guys,

WOW! Many thanks for that info and comments. I`m amazed that this is such a coincidence that I have those two makers in particular!!? All the threads I`ve read, seem to mention these two makers hand in hand! In fact, I also have a later war unmarked zinc Junckers badge in Bronze! All of which I bought through coincidence from various sources!
Below is the unmarked Junckers badge.

Once again guys, thanks for the great info!

Actually that is not an unmarked Juncker. Beside the set up it has no connection at all towards Juncker. The maker of this particular mass produced badge is still unknown. We often refer to "so called Juncker" or "Juncker set up" PAB.

Anyhow, it is original, what's most important
                  Kind regards,

I did not know this, but it makes perfect sense thanks for the info Giel!
