    GAB by Wiedmann

My sole GAB, but I quite like it. A genuine, period piece in my opinion...but I seek confirming or other opinions here, please...and thanks, in advance.

    John

This GAB by Ferdinand Wiedmann is a late war, die-cast piece of quality zinc which is silver-grey in appearance, showing a couple spots of deterioration. The area between the bayonet and the swastika is not punched-out. The bronze hinge and "C" clasp have been soldered to the base metal (the round baseplate of the clasp is partially obscured by the solder). The bronze pin tip is angled from two sides. The maker mark is stamped.

This is my favorite GAB design! I regret selling the 100% Mint one I used to own!! Live and learn!! I didn't think it would be this hard to find another one! lol

it looks like there is some zincpest popping up in some places, you better give it a vaseline treatment
