    Iab on Collectors Guild

Hey guys, I was looking on his site and came across this IAB. I'm certainly not an expert but this badge looks terrible! It looks too poorly cut and shaped to be authentic.. am I wrong?

Wow, hmm. I am a slowly learning the IABs, but this one has me stumped. Looking at the head, I know there is a maker, Franke and Co, I believe that has an eagle's head that is just horrendous like this one. But then, I see the bayonet, completely lifeless (worn down)?

The Franke & Co. hardware doesn't match anything I have seen.

Good call man, I'd like to see what others have to say as well

I would never have one in my collection. Strange thing is, lots of well known and "reputable" dealers have had these for sale in the past..

          Not nice at all

          regards

            These......

......FAKE IAB's have been around for ages. The worn down appearance of the bayonet is a absolute giveaway, and is a trait common to all of that type. They really are ugly badges.
