the comparison with other badges doesn´t mean nothing, the finish on some CCCs were with a very light bronze and looks gold.
i hace cleared (50% more!!) the photo And bigger fact it...looks bronze to me.
maybe Tom Durante could give us his expert opinion

It looks like a very nice bronze ccc IMO.

            Hi guys,

This is a tough one, its always VERY hard to tell finish color by photos. Scans are always much better in determining finish.

Some of the pics make the clasp look bronze, but other make it look more like gold. Deschler used a very bright type of bronze finish, which makes it confusing. Without better scans or having it in hand, I would venture to guess that if you are having a hard time telling if it is bronze or gold, it is most likely a bronze grade. Gold finish should jump out pretty distincly in hand and not just look "gold like" IMO.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

I´m with the bronze, as Tom says, deschler have very similar finish with between bronze and gold. without scans is very difficult.
i think its bronze because the dark of the oakleaves, i think if it was gold, they could much more brilliant.

Thanks for the help guys, Either way it's a great badge in great condition. And the best part is the fact that it's real.

of course Flatfander, if you buy someday a scan do some scan, and maybe we can tell you a "gold" answer.
