Hard to say from the pictures, but looks like a SHuCo type IAB with a repaired catch and possibly a replaced pin.

              Better photos of new arrival

Here is my new arrival. I hope this photos are better. Any information would be welcome. It looks to me like a period, professional replacement catch.
              Cheers,
              Henry

Henry, the IAB seems to have cleaned up well. It definitely looks like a S.H.u.Co., the catch looks replaced - but the pin looks to possibly be original.

Yes, I agree with Mike. The badge looks better after a cleaning. The pin looked fat in the first photos you posted, but must have been the shadow. Pin looks to be orginal to the badge.

Thanks everyone. I did take a soft tooth brush to it, no chemicals. I know some will say a badge should not be cleaned, but I feel it adds rather than detracts in most cases.

I could not get good enough photo of the repair, but it appears period and very professionally done.

I must say I am very pleased with it.

                      Cheers,
                      Henry

                        Hi Henry......

......Nice looking badge. Especially since the clean-up.

As an aside: I have yet to see a veteran soldier on parade wearing tarnished or dirty medals and badges. No matter what era he fought in. What would be the point?
