Hi guys,
i am not so shure about this one to be honest. The reason of my doubts are that the obverse details are soft comparing to other known originals like the acorns crosshatching and the leaf stippling. The reverse differs from originals in terms of the rifle - no scoped rifle on the reverse on this one. I haven´t studied the JB&Co to rule out if there are rifles that are flat on the reverse of originals though. There are some issues that might be explained from a cast production... present pittings and waste material on strange locations.Regards

Please Hans, show me a period item that features this kind of porous surface and THAT kind of finish.
I fell for the same kind of material and finish on an Assmann piece. Like I wrote on the GCA, I would not buy it. If you note the surface on the shown IAB, you´ll also find the exact match on Staegemeir´s products:Attached Files
