    Original Silver IAB

    Hello,
I want to buy this IAB along with a iron cross and a would badge.
Judging by the finish , model and overall condition I think it's original.
    What do you think?

    Thanks,
    Frank

    Does anyone reconise it's maker?

      Hello Frank,

it´s a Assmann IAB. These can sometimes be found with a double "A" mark.
There usually is a fainth A on the center of the rifles revese on them even if thought as a unmarked one.
      Regards
      Hans N

Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

I agree with these gentlemen here. A harder to find IAB imo.
          Kind regards,
          Giel

            Hello,
Thanks all for your help. I know the photo's could be larger, but the first ones I got from the seller were even less detailed. I'll make better photo's myself, when he has arrived.

I'm curious if I might find the A mark.

            Thanks !

You might have to tilt it and catch the light to see it. Most common of the marked examples are the single "A" behind the rifle. There have been examples with a single "A" behind the wreath on the left hand side, looing at the reverse, and as Hans mentioned you can get double marked examples.

              cheers
              Graeme

                Hello,
                I received the medal today.

My compliments for predicting that it would have an A mark. It's not very well visible, but there is indeed an A behind the rifle.

Here are some detailed photo's. In the last photo you see the medals that came from the same owner.
                I keep them all.

                Thanks!

                Frank

By creating some shadow, I managed to capture the marking:
