      Hi Terry,

Difficult to tell from these small pictures.

Based upon the things I can see I would tend towards no good.

But I realy would need to see more detailed pics to be sure.

Hi Terry. Better and larger pictures are required. Off hand, I would not say it is a good badge.

                Hi Guys,

Just took a closer look at this badge to see if i could match it to a known maker.

Based upon the observe details I think it comes closest to an Assmann and at this moment I would like to give it some credit.

Terry this badge seems to be made out of tombak. All Assmann PAB I own are made of Feinzink. Don't know if anybody own a marked example in tombak. Is it possible for you to give a weight indication on this badge.

I like the obverse detailing and the aging on this badge but also would like to see a better picture of the eagles head.

I don't realy like the reverse, looks a little thick and the way the pin is folded arround the hinge also worries me but I'm trying to keep an open mind here. So please Terry back to work with your camera.

And try to compare the detailing to this Assmann and let me know what you think.

I´m none to keen on it either. Like John I don´t like the pin (although could be replaced), I also do not like the detailing obverse, and reverse also looks strange IMO.

I dont like it. Not clear details of obverse and reverse.

Thanks to all of you. I must say I do not like it and have always considered it as more than suspect. There is a general lack of details in a few areas. Here is my attempt at a close-up of the eagle. Looks very similar to yours Philippe but the details are not all there.

                        Hi Terry,

Think we shoud forget about this one, certainly for a tombak PAB the feathering is unacceptable.

Thank you all. This one will stay at the bottom of the drawer where it has been for a while.
