    Hello,

on the first view i can't see something wrong with the offered IAB. There are more than one die which was used for this tyoe of IAB and therefore some minor differences in the details wouldn't worry me.

They are faked that's right but imo both shown badges aren't the known fake.
    Best regards, Andreas

The first one offered at the E-stand is the B.H.Mayer fake that originates from the UK, Birmingham i think it was... Just compare the Breastfeathers to a known original and you´ll see the differance right away.

The other IAB, in silver, looks more promising IMO.
      Regards
      Hans N

Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

I agree with Hans...The E-stand badge is a fake and the chest feathers are not correct.

          Hi Steve

The areas highlighted by Eric and Hans I also agree with. Soft details, bayonet area, "pimpled" acorns, breast feathers, no cutout between swas and rifle all point to a fake...I am also not keen on the base metal or finish and the strange shaped hinge base.....Probably made and improved by the same guys that produced the one in post 13 of the following thread:-

          http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=102018

Very similar catch and check out the same style tapered pin.

Jon, can you post the link to the discussion on the badge you said had been previously discussed and viewed as a fake.

          cheers
          Graeme
