The badge is fake.

Years ago I had a heated email discussion with a "MAX certified dealer" and self proclaimed expert about such a badge. He said it was real. All I said was that it was pictured on a web site as a fake/repro. He was convinced it was real and I should take his word as he was "MAX certified" I did not buy it.
