Can any post an example of the IAB (bronze or silver) by Friedrich Linden, Ludenscheid? I want to see the pin assembly, catch, marker mark and swaz. Thanks in advance for your time.

Hi David. Here is an example of a zinc FLL IAB. It has very unique inset hinge and catch assemblies. Also notice that it has no gap between the swastica and the rifle...I think the only IAB with that design characteristic.

Thank you Lorenzo! I appreciate all the pictures. They have helped answer my questions about this particular maker. I have a IAB by this maker that has had a field repair done to the catch and I always wondered about it because of the solid area between the swastika and the rifle; I thought all IAB swastikas were separated from the rifle. Thanks again for your time.

Brian,
I have 2 FLL IABs, one is similar with the pic provided by Lorenzo. The other has a different hinge attachement and is halllarked with the FLL logo and the figure 43 below.
Is this latter one identical with yours ?
Unfortunately, my IABs are in another house and I cannot have access to them so forgive me for the lack of details, I extensively use my memory.
Hope this helps
Denis

Here is my Bronze FLL Infantry Assault Badge. The swastika is not attached to the rifle and the badge has a different pin assembly than the one above. The assembly has a rough finish to it, like it could have been replaced. The finish around the catch is sloppy like it's a patch job, however it's the same color as the badge. The finish in the hinge area looks even worse, although the camera flash makes it look brighter than it actually is.
Did different variations of FLL IABs exist? Has anyone seen other pin assemblies on these badges and/or has anyone seen an FLL without the attached swastika?
Thanks,
Brian
