I don't know, it looks a little funny to me, the catch looks thicker than on an original on another thread. Both your silver and bronze look very rough to me and the maker marks have no definition. I would say bad over all from the quality of the badge front and back.

Both your badges (Silver & Bronze) have the same mark on the reverse of the butt, and different catches.

Best leave it to the experts.

        HI CVRC

As far as I know thats a copy too. I think the fat catch is the giveaway here. If I'm not mistaken Frank H has some pictures of these copies.

The Silver one in the other post IMO is no good neither. Look at the waste material under the gun if compared to this original. Look also at the smaller catch on this badge

Absolutely right, the fat catch is a sure giveaway for this well known fake.

            Cheers, Frank

Hi all, I have the question: Have you ever see bronze GWL IAB? I think that bronze GWL IABs were never issued. Is it so?

Nice badge Philippe! I think it is hard to find GWL with so good silvering of its obverse.

Sergey, search under GWL IAB and I think Mark Schroeder has one on a thread.

                    Kind regards,

                    Marcus

Yes, there are bronze ones, yet they seem to be quite rare....or in most cases the zink might have absobed the finish completely so we think of silver rather than bronze.

                      Cheers, Frank
