Is this the fake F&R PAB?

    Hello,
I got this in with a bunch of other items. I am unsure about hollow items to begin with and this piece does not seem right to me. I did a search on this but I could not find the same hinge and catch in any photos here - maybe I just missed them. All of the other stuff was good so maybe I am trying to make this piece good. It does look like a F&R but I found some major differences in the details. I really need a push in the right direction.

    Thanks,
    Chet

    Dear Chet,

    IMO that is the fake.

Thank you Frank. I was just having trouble giving up on this one. There must be a few versions of catch and hinge on these as I could not find these pictured elsewhere.

        Hi Chet,

I agree with Frank this one is no good.

As far as I know all hollow F&R will have the same catch and hinge, the only thing that can vary is the position of the hine some times a little lower or a little higher

This is what yo should look for

          Hi Guys !
I agree about PAB showed by Chet .

But I have to disagree with you about hinge and catch on F&R Hollow back PAB`s Phillippe .

I beleive that this one in bronze is made by F&R , Anthony Hedges also think that this is an F&R .

            Hi Jan,

            Thanks for the info.

Once you think you've seen them all there always seems to be another variant arround.

So since this one probably has a silver brother, just 2 more to put on my shopping list I guess.
