I think Infantry Assault Badges are an area where great deals can be had- most selling in the $50-$100 range. Also, Wound Badges can often be found in the $25-$75 range. Even a decent Minesweeper can be found for around a $100. SA and DRA/DRL Sport Badges are everywhere for $25-$50. I shouldn't mention the $25 KVK's and $35-$45 WW1 EK2's!
A nice, presentable collection of just these types of badges could be built up for less $$$ than what just one high-end dagger would sell for. (No offense to dagger collectors, as they are terrific too. I was just using them as an example
