    Repros, I think similar ones were made for magazines a few years ago- like in the mickey mouse sometimes little toys and gadgets are - there were WWII magazines which gave a particular (china made) badge made of plastic.

        What about the possibility of use by mine clearing teams? It is not feasible to stop and take the time to remove magnetic awards (leaving plastic awards/aluminum buttons). In that case they would have been hand made by the Soldiers who perform those duties.

          There's a guy on Ebay that makes and sells Plastic awards for reenactors and collectors.. I've seen his stuff from time to time on it.

                No way, IAB's aren't magnetic anyway and mine clearing was a job of the pionier not the infantry.

                If they didn't have time to take off a decoration then they didn't have time to take off their boots, belts, helmets, leave their weapons and equipment behind..
                Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.
