Not looking good

Hi,

Without actually handling the items I won't give a 100% definitive answer but things don't look good. IMO;

10f/11f - LW Flak Badge - the swas is bent out of shape, the finish is strange, the hinge doesn't look period. This badge probably bends fairly easily and I would guess it is a cast repro.

18f/19f - Heer Flak Badge - a Souval repro based on the catch.

5f/6f - KM Coastal Artillery Badge - hinge/catch are incorrect for Juncker. Imo this is probably another cast repro.

1f/2f - Silver Panzer Badge - imo a cast Frank & Reif repro - hinge/catch are wrong and the detail is poor.

3f/4f - KM U-boat Badge - imo another cast repro.

Sorry, but I don't like these at all. The ID disc I have no experience with at all.

I am sorry to have to agree with Mike on the Panzer, Heer flak, Coastal Artillery and U-boat badges. These are all fake in my opinion. I have an identical F&R Panzer badge and it is made of lead.

Albeit disappointing news, thank you for the review of these questionable items in my collection.

I appreciate the time you took to evaluate them.

I had already sent these pics to Mark Schroeder and received similar comments.

Although the pictures don't show it, when held in hand the CAB, PAB, and Luft-Flak badges all display pretty good detail, are quite solid, but all have had the catches replaced with the current non-std. type as indicated.

Next time I post some pics I will ask for Mark Schroeder's assistance to help me crop/edit the pics so they appear immediately when you open the thread.
