    Tank Bange

    Hi Guys,

I am being offered this dug out tank badge. How much would it cost in this condition?

    Best regards,
    Eugene

Looks like an original Deumer (aka 2nd pattern Daisy) PAB. Is it a ground dug?
    Kind regards,
    Giel

      Yes. it is.

So I would like to know how much I can offer for this badge.

I am omitting the fact it was dug in the Stalingrad area.

      Best regards,
      Eugene

        Hi Eugene,

I just woke up when I saw it for the first time, but looking at is again now it could be that this is a tombak example. This explains why this badge still looks quite good after seeing the earth for 60+ years.

The price difference would depend a lot out of which material this badge was made.

Can you tell us the weight?
        Kind regards,
        Giel

I will ask the seller. Though I doubt he can tell me the exact weight.

I bet this will even look quite neat with the shiny base metal after heavy polishing, with machine and polishing paste...

Agree with Giel that this could be a tombak badge. after being in the ground for over 60 years it would surely have zinkrot, this one is in very good condition.

Can you give me the idea of its price range, please? Mint/dug out?

It stays a ground dug indeed, for me, ground dugs only have a value if you really want them.

They don't have the kind of "market value" normal pab's have. Some will give you 50 euro for this piece, others will trow 150 euro at it.

15gr is indeed a rather heavy tombak badge.
                        Kind regards,
                        Giel

Thank you for sharing your knowledge with me.
I also prefer mint/minty to ground dug. But this one is a real battle badge so to say. I do not mind having one.
The guy who's selling it wants 290 Euro as he was told these were in this price range. So let him want what he wants...

Thank you very much to all for the input.

                          Regards,
                          Eugene
