Unidentified marks : EWE & IMME

Hello everybody,

In a previous thread initially posted by Ron Birch, a PAB hallmarked by EWE is shown.

Today, most of marking encountered on German WWII badges are known such as (non exhaustive list) :

JFS for Josef Feix Sohne
FLL for Friedrich Linden Ludenscheid
F&BL for Funcke & Bruninghaus Ludenscheid
and so on and so on

However, some markings remain to this day unidentified. Among these ones, you can find (non exhaustive list) :

EWE : only found on PABs
IMME : found on LW badges (Pilot's ones for instance)

In spite of various sources of documentation, nobody could find who are the makers behind these abreviations. Would any forum fellows been able to decipher these ones ??
Should you find any other unID'd ones, feel free to add them.

PS : after finishing, I am even not sure that IMME is an abreviation. You cand find IMME & Sohn, Berlin. Might it be a German name. As I am not fluent in German, I couldn't say this with certainty.
EWE : E for the frist name, W for the last name and E again for the location ?????

...and what is the circle or "O" mark found on some Frontflugspangen? I once heard it is related to Steinhauer & Lück, any proof for that?

The same "o" is sometimes found on U-boat badges.

my feeling on the O mark is the following
i have seen this mark on Fredrich Orth Uboat badges and panzer badges.
i believe it is a quality control stamp of some sort. similiar to what is found in shirt pockets when bought new ...little tag "inspected by number 11" or something similiar.

Dear Mike,

This could be one theory, but the O mark on Frontflugspangen I talk about is RAISED, therefore it is in the mould and was not lateron applied as a control mark. It is not an incuse relief, but truely raised.

Dear Mike,

this is the raised "O" mark I am talking about. I think apart from Luftwaffe Frontflugspanges I have also seen it on a party badge over at GD.com.
