The case could be okay, but I don't like the insert. The base material looks identical to the rough side of common pegboard. From the photo of the inside it appears that some type of adhesive is showing thorugh the fabric. Just not like anything I've seen.

Thank you all for your opinions on this case.
I think, like François, that this is an early Luftwaffe case. It is hard to see on these pictures but it really doesn’t look brand new.
It is my view that at one point in its history the inside has been changed. I guess this has been done some time ago but definitely not period done. I conclude this by the use of materials and the use of chemical glue and yes the glue glows under blacklight. There used to be a Para badge in this case but noticing the wear on the locking mechanism this clearly didn’t belong in here. Also when the badge was in the case it didn’t close properly.
Once again I am not familiar with Luftwaffe cases and these are just my observations and conclusions on this case.

Hi guys,
Interesting case, I would like to have it in my hands for better see it.
If the glue was right, I thought can be a case for a not official award by a privat firm in war time. for me is not a problem the two pieces to the side of the cover, in early cases sometimes there are.
but my opinion , from what I can see, I propense unfortunately for a not war time case, for the glue, but IF who has it in the hand can say the glue is right, so it is a early war time case.

It's in the details...
... Well, the glue/glow is all I need. The "pegboard" thing was less troublesome... The material is close to others I've seen used. Now, what I wonder is .... what about the rest of the case? AND, who the heck would go to so much trouble? I know there are near perfect copies coming out of England, but, hold the two (1 real, 1 not) in hand and the differences are striking...
Unfortunately, as with so much else in this hobby, hands-on will still be the final factor... BUT, with so much "gouvna" in circulation, it will be harder and harder for folks to find real stuff to build experience with!

Deam Rick,
In all fairness it should be said that the cases made by Mr. Yeomans out of Birmingham, England, are not made to fool the collector. These repro cases merely shall serve as a means to store badges in a nice way that looks ALMOST like the real thing. I am convinced Mr. Yeomans could make very convincing fakes if that was his intention.
