    does anybody know who the maker is and your thoughts on this badge........

      Rodney thanks for the comments, do you have any idea who the maker is. I thought at one time Lumsden had the maker in his book but .....ahem I can't find the darn thing!

        Hi Ron,
        I don't believe this particular maker has been identified yet. We do know they are original badges in every way, but in every reference book so far that I've come across, including our own Wehrmacht Awards pages, the maker for this hallmark is still unknown. Even Mike Pinkus's website, a very good one, on tank badges calls this maker unknown at this time. Mike's site address:

          This is a text book example of the EWE Tank Badge.
          As Ron said, this marking has not been identified yet. This is the perfect example why our mutual hobby is so interesting : 60 years after, some "grey" areas are still remaining and a good documentation is sometimes not enough to know everything. Another example is the IMME marking on LW pilots badge.
