Hey Oli, looks very bronze to me, unless it's the pictures. Can't see any silver traces? Or is that silver in the hinge and catch recesses?

                Hi Oli,

IMO, look to be a bronze one, it's a silver finish on the catch or a light effect ?

                Best regards

                Valentin

                  Hi guys,

Well, from the looks of the hinge and catch, I would say a silver class. Very hard to tell finish from these pics and usually the bronze finish stays better on JFS CCCs, so my gut is also telling me its a silver class that was different and less resistant to absorbing into the zink over the years that JFS used. There is definately finish left on the obverse, its just very faded out and we never really see that affect with bronze JFS clasps, but you do see it on S&L & F&BL CCCs sometimes. A silver grade IMO.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

This CCC was in my collection some time ago. Without a doubt a silver grade which lost all the finish.

I agree with Tom's assessment. We all know JFS clasps and their ability to maintain their finish. And also looking at the back, I am going to say silver
