    BKA in Gold with docs

Here is a badge which I recently bought from another forum member. The dimensions are:

    Height: 58.4mm

    Width: 49.5mm

    Weight: 30.8g

I think that awarded gold versions must be incredibly rare and this is a beauty. I have often seen other gold versions but this one took my breath away.

The pin and hook are magnetic.

Entry for BKA III class. This badge is also entered on p29 where it shows it having been awarded on 18.10.1944 and is sealed with an SS rubber stamp.

Can we see more pictures of the Dienstpass please? Especially page 29 and relevant pages on where and with whom he served.

Holy Moses. And I feel fortunate to own an original silver.
              Thanks for this post. John

Thanks Stan, interesting stuff and i see the same Dienstpass that appeared in an old orden-militaria magazin article from '93.

The words, hens teeth, spring to mind.

                      Simon,

Yes, you are very well informed! It was shown in OMM 53 in an article by Gerhard Rudloff.

Amazing group. Most of the times you see one in gold the finish is well absorved into the zinc. But not this one.
