    Deformed Leaf IAB

    Hello All

    I have just added what I believe to be a third type Deformed Leaf variant with the Block hinge. The silver finish is quite different from the "shiny chrome" appearance of my vertical crimp.

            Deformed Leaf IAB

            Where I can find the deformed leaf on this nice IAB? The leaves on this IAB are pretty alike but I need to see this deformed leaf's location so I can see tthis variation. I never encountered a Deformed Leaf IAB variant until now. BTW, a nice IAB!

                ......Is your badge tombac? I have one on file posted by Anthony, awhile ago, that has the same block-hinge variation, but in tombac.

                      There is a very good chance that the vertical crimp could be a different maker (certainly different dies) so when comparing finishes bear this in mind.

                      Here is a bronze with similar set up to compliment yours

                          I've got a few deformed leaf IAB's to share. Here's one I haven't taken the time to photograph since I bought it from Detlev. He thought it was tombak, but it's zinc. And, he discounted the badge when the weight was told him. It's a beauty...
