...And here's yet another one...this one was bought directly from the vet who "liberated" it. It shows nice, honest wear and is totally un-marked. Due to the finish wear however, I'm at a loss to be able to differentiate whether or not it's bronze or gold, but in comparing it to other bronze examples, I lean heavily towards gold, as is VERY evident when viewed in person, especially in the recesses of the badge. Hi Milton,
You have a bronze CCC. From the obverse, this one looks like either a Deschler or Unknown Maker #1 from the CCC book. Both of these makers (especially Deschler) used a very bright bronze finish that looks goldish when sitting by itself. But, putting it next to a bonafinde gold grade, the difference will be quite apparent.
Please show a pic of the reverse.

Thanks gents. Next chance I get. I actually took one of the reverse, however for whatever reason, the camera didn't record the image. Thanks for taking the time to have a look and I'll endeavor to post a couple better pix sometime down the road.Comment
