Hi everyone,

I've come across this screw back GAB and was wondering your thoughts? It seems to be okay however I'm no expert, thus I ask your kind help with its originality.

It does have some patina where the screwback doesnt hit. But ive never seen one before. Can you show some close ups of the fronts detail? (for the real experts, as this is difficult to see clearly.Seems like I have seen lots of supposed screwback badges made from all kinds of badges, turning up now these days , i never saw previously.Doesnt mean this isnt genuine, ill leave that to the ones who really know. If it was from an actual vets stuff, id trust it so far, although most always proceed with caution with screwbacks, ive only seen one screwback IC1st cl in a vets captured, actual bring backs, in my life. He wouldnt sell , and was going to give it to his grandchild, and she was like 10 at the time around 1968.. "Caveat emptor" with screwbacks always.(can you show the other side of the screwback also)?

The Assmann marked GAB is a well known fake. I do belive it can be found in the fakes forum. Considering the weird angles of the pics I would bet the other one is also a fake.

As Chet mentioned, the first posted is a well known fake.

It would be interesting to see pics of the other without the screwback, and straight on obverse pics. It looks like the Brehmer deign.

Hank said it all! As rare as a screw back would be and this seller has two? I bet he could build a few more to order if the demand were there!
