I need help... It's gold or bronze? Thanks!

Id personally say gold, but the heavy corrosion is making it a little difficult.

        Hi Ullrich,

Large font AGMuK makers were one of the CCC makers that used a brighter bronze finish on some of their clasps, so it could be a bronze or gold. Also, being underground for many years definately can affect the color of finishes. The backplate was no doubt black, but there is no traces of black left. Same with the pin, which looks bronze colored but this can also look different because it is steel, and weather the elements differently than the zink clasp.

I think it could go either way, bronze or gold but chances are its a bronze grade.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

          Hi

We can't exclude also preliminary chemical cleaning in this case which could turn chocolate bronze into more likely gold color.

          Regards

Alot of things are similar about these clasps....

                Hi guys,

Here is a bronze one from my collection. Same maker, same exact pattern, a 1.1.1. IMO, the one that started this thread is a bronze grade.

A little bit of a contrast to the ground dug Clasp!

                    Very pretty
